What is an essay? An essay is a piece of writing that presents the writer’s perspective. However, the exact definition is not clear. The argumentative essay’s backbone is made up of the details of the argument. The writer must present all facts and support them with logic and personal opinions and draw the reader’s attention to the central argument.

Expository essays are written in order to provide new information that will help the reader understand the topic. These essays often include the author’s personal history, which is usually related to the thesis statement. The story could be personal, however it typically is based on a specific issue that the writer has had to face in their life.
